This is a quiet, smooth multi-use path with peaceful stops along the Bark River. It's a very relaxing ride-can stop at Lannon Park along the way or go to Sussex-Merton. We dubbed the section from North Lake to Sussex with the name "Chipmunk Trail" because there were so many of those critters running across it. Shady lane is quite a busy street. The Bugline Recreation Trail is a 12.2-mile trail located on the former Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul, and Pacific Railroad right-of-way.
